ROCK & RAPPLE CANYON

Looking for something a little more adventurous than your usual hike? Come explore the rugged canyons of the UAE with a fun introduction to rappelling (abseiling)! We’ll hike through two beautiful canyons, covering approximately 15 km and 50 m elevation, with a 30-minute walk from the cars to our first 5 m descent, building up to a final 14 m rappel. Rappelling is all about learning to control your descent down a rock face using ropes and a harness, and there’s something incredibly exciting about making your way down a canyon one step at a time!

Perfect for first-timers and beginners, and a great adventure for kids who meet the age and safety requirements. You’ll be guided by a certified technical guide, with Wilderness First Responder support, so you can learn the techniques and enjoy the experience in a supervised setting. Expect a full day of hiking, scrambling over rocks, learning new skills, plenty of laughter, good company and a little adrenaline along the way. Refreshments are included to keep you energised throughout the adventure. If you’ve been wanting to try something beyond hiking, this is a great place to start!
